Christmas 2013
Christmas morning. I think the girls slept well. Present for mom and dad.
James and I had a pretty tight budget this year for presents so this is his one and only present, from me. A year of planned and mostly paid for dates. One each month for the rest of the year. I think he wasn't sure at first if he liked it, but then realized all pressure was off him to plan dates for a whole year and got pretty excited about it. As a part of it I have to arrange all babysitting as well, which is the part we both hate the most and reason most often we stick to at home dates.
They both got these fun microphones from their grandma.
And these cute mix and match beanies from their other grandma.
Or decorative yam-aka on James
Off to the playing field for a little Home-Run Derby Kick Ball Palooza. The adults decided to give up the home run derby and play something that everyone could get involved in. They didn't know that when they made that decision James would go from Looser TO MVP in Christmas game history. (James can't hit a ball with a bat to save his life, but he can kick a ball like a champion.

Favorite picture of all time, pulled from Penny's blog. James was named MVP. Kicked a home run every single time he was up and always cleared the plates. Way to go James. Did it all in those sandals too, and on occasion, holding Molly as well.
Always good sportsmanship with this group.
Just a side note, I am not pictured because this event took place, pretty much with out me. I was home making potatoes for the Christmas lunch, then came back only to grab Molly and head up to help my grandma finish up preparations, but I am glad that everyone had a good time, especially Lucy and James. Thanks for switching things up this year. I think it was a win for everyone.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! HOPE IT WAS AS WONDERFUL FOR EVERYONE ELSE AS IT WAS FOR US!
